1977 Kehind Wiley was born in Los Angeles, California. He attended the San Francisco Art Institute and received his BFA in 1999, two years later he received his MFA at Yale University schools of arts. Kehinde is a visual artist and is known for his contemporary work with african american men portrayed from an Eurocentric point of view. The majority of his paintings are photographs of everyday men walking the streets of New York, as he became more experienced he sought out models from around the world.
